Lecture by Dr. W. Forsythe, "Preserving Prosperity: The Archeology of Salt Production in Post-Medieval Ireland"

Professor Wes Forsythe (Ulster University) an Irish Archeologist who has worked extensively in Ireland and areas of Africa, will be presenting a public lecture from 3:30 - 4:30 pm, on Tues, Feb. 27, 2018, to be held in room 278 (the tutoring room), 2nd floor Corbett Family Hall. 

His lecture titled "Preserving Prosperity: The Archeology of Salt Production in Post-Medieval Ireland," will deal with the post 1750’s Irish salt production for economic purposes, and the connections to trans-Atlantic fishing industry and consumption.

The lecture will be followed by a reception in the Anthropology department, 2nd floor, Corbett Family Hall.
