The Notre Dame Initiative on Race and Resilience and the Department of Anthropology are hosting Dr. Chelsey R. Carter for a virtual talk on Wednesday, September 15th at 3:30pm. You are invited to join us.

Chelsey R. Carter, MPH, PhD is a Presidential Postdoctoral Fellow at Princeton University and incoming Assistant Professor of Public Health at Yale School of Public Health. Based on her extensive ethnographic research, she will present a talk entitled "'Medical Gaslighting' in ALS Care: Black Patients' Quest to be Heard, Seen and Understood." This is the first in a series of four talks this academic year that align with Professor Tracie Canada's "Black Ethnographers" course in Anthropology. These visits, supported by the Initiative on Race and Resilience, will be hosted via Zoom and are open to all.
