Dr. Cara Ocobock (University of Notre Dame) received the 2023 American Association of Biological Anthropologists and Leakey Foundation Communication and Outreach Award in honor of Camilla M. Smith. Her nomination materials documented a wide range of visible and impactful public engagement activities, which emphasize concerns about equity, access and inclusion. Her communication and outreach activities have significant impacts both within and beyond this field.
The awards will be presented at the Annual Business meeting in Reno on April 21, 2023.
