Elizabeth Adeyemo

Biography

Elizabeth holds a MSc. Conservation Studies Degree from University College London (UCL) Qatar (2017), and a B. A. in Archaeology from the University of Ibadan (2014). She is a Presidential Fellow, and Doctoral Student Affiliate of the Kellogg Institute of International Studies, University of Notre Dame.

Using physico-chemical analytical methods, her M.Sc. thesis investigated the materials and technological processes used in the manufacture of the glazes of selected ceramic wares from archaeology excavations in Qatar. Her B. A. thesis explored the interactions between subsistence economies, architectural structures, and spatial organization in the Agbowa-Ikosi community, Lagos state, Nigeria.

Her research interests include African history and Archaeology, Object Conservation,  Collections Management, Pre-modern Industrialization, Gender, Identity, Urbanism, Trade and Network Systems, Ceramic Material and Technology, and Craft Specialization.
