Elsa Mueller-Filipas

Biography

Elsa Mueller-Filipas is a human biologist from Tulsa, Oklahoma. She is interested in researching psychosocial stress physiology in professional caregiving populations in the United States. She received a B.A in Biology and Anthropology from Vanderbilt University, and has prior work experience in genetic anthropology and paleontology lab management. Her broad research interests include psychoendocrinology, epigenetics, evolutionary medicine, Compassionate Care theory, bioethics, and mixed-methods research. Elsa is a National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellow and Notre Dame Notebaert Fellow.
